
Emily K. Ott
Emily Ott is an Associate Attorney with the firm. Her practice includes representing creditors in bankruptcy, tax controversy, creditors’ rights, and financial litigation. She represents individuals, businesses, and institutional creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings, and handles related state court matters involving foreclosure, collection, and consumer finance disputes. Emily possesses a range of experience representing clients in disputes with the IRS and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, including audit defense, levy avoidance, and the negotiation of installment agreements and offers in compromise.
Emily brings a strategic and practical approach to resolving complex financial problems, informed by a prior career in state government and financial regulation. Before entering legal practice, she worked in the public sector overseeing the regulation of state-chartered depository and non-depository financial institutions. She draws on this experience to help clients navigate legal and procedural challenges with clarity and confidence.
